Elkie & Ark strives to be as honest as possible about our testing methodologies and how we make product recommendation judgments. We maintain affiliate connections with most firms in the sleep product market, as well as bigger e-commerce sites like Amazon.com,… in order to sustain the site and continue to deliver accurate helpful material.

We want our readers to understand that our suggestions are solely based on our thorough research and product testing. In that spirit, we’d like to provide the following disclosures regarding our partnerships and commission agreements:

  • Elkie & Ark maintains ties with sleep product providers. Cost-per-click and affiliate fee contracts, for example, enable us to make commissions from product links.
  • Elkie & Ark is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
  • We gain a commission if one of our readers clicks on a link on our site and purchases a product from one of our partners. If the reader chooses to return the goods, the commission will be forfeited. We have no motivation to promote substandard items in response to requests from current or prospective affiliate firms; in fact, we are disincentivized to do so.
  • In exchange for mentioning their products in reviews, rankings, or suggestions, companies have never paid us and will never pay us. We do, however, occasionally receive complimentary goods from businesses that are used for the study. Receiving these products has no bearing on our editorial content and in no way ensures that the product or the seller/manufacturer will receive a positive review or a top-pick placement.

In addition to the measures mentioned above, we’ve taken the following additional measures to make sure that our editing process is unaffected by our partnerships:

  • Our review approach combines in-depth research, expert opinions, and practical testing, and none of our experts, reviewers, or staff writers are made aware of the specifics of any contracts with businesses we work with.
  • Except to investigate product specifications and company policies (returns, warranties, etc.), our experts, reviews, and staff writers never speak with any of the businesses we do business with directly. This has no impact on any of our recommendations.
